1. messing with nature (deforestation, pollution, homosexuality)
2. social incompetence
3. non-authoritative parenting (not authoritarian please go look it up
4. corrupt governments
5. honestly industrialization (if you look at the stages of industrialization, if we reward service and information based countries, organizations, and people instead of farmers, ranchers etc. we drive people out of the necessary industries. We have our priorities reversed.)

I would also add that a debatable one that is of equal importance is a concern for the well being of all humanity. It we cared about everyone and realized our affects due to this globalized society we would not be doing things that will harm others now or in the future.
